Message from the Captain ....
Jeff Jenkins Memorial Golf 2016: Cottrell Park Fri 3rd / Sat 4th June
Firstly, it is an honour to take on the role of Captain for 2016, following in the infamous footsteps of Abs, Barney, 'Head, Squeegee, to name but a few.
Big congrats to Owen (OMG) on his victory at Dainton Park 2015. Also, a big thank you to last year's captain Scotty - the weekend was a great success based on his deligation to George and Micky!
As a tribute to 'Chief' we will be playing at Cottrell Park (just outside Cardiff), a venue that Chief and his son Daniel played on numerous occassions over the last couple of years. On the Friday we will have a 'pairs' competion in honour of Chief, followed by the Jeff Jenkins Memorial on the Saturday. Accommodation will be in Cardiff. Details, including costs, to follow soon.
Captain Olly
It is still difficult to come to terms with the sad loss of Andy 'Chief' Vaughan who was taken from us way ahead of time. A truly great man who was loved by all who had the privilidge of knowing him and our thoughts and prayers remain with Lynne and family.

Over the years, Andy had numerous nicknames such as Lanky and AV, but to the Cyncoed College Boys, he was the one and only 'Chief' and he was everyone's best friend. Chief was an accomplished sportsman and represented Wales at schoolboy level at golf, cricket and rugby. At college Chief excelled at rugby and was a mainstay of the 1st XV pack of forwards who dominated student rugby and more than held their own when playing against 'first class' opposition such as Bridgend and Neath.
Over the past 33 years the friendship remained strong with one of the highlight being the annual reuinion at the Jeff Jenkins golf weekend. Chief was a past captain and champion.
